I was raised 12 years on the
mission field on a little island in the Bahamas called Long Island. I
was saved at the age of five. I will never forget the day that God began
to convict my heart. I stood on the porch with my mother and watched
the islanders carry a casket on their shoulders. I asked my mother
where that man went after he died. She used these words, "Nathan, if he
never trusted Christ as his Savior he is lost. Lost means without
Christ." That day I realized that I was just like the man who
died. I was lost. Two weeks from that day my father preached a message
on Hell. As a small boy with child-like faith, I trusted Christ as my
Savior. My father had the privilege of showing and explaining to me the
Gospel.
People always say that teenagers
are too young to do anything for God. Yet, you will find in the Bible
the lives of young people who did great things for God. God called me
to be a missionary at the age of fifteen. At the age of sixteen God
called me to preach. During my second year of Bible College I
surrendered to go to the country of Ecuador, South America. I am
excited that God is working in my life by reaching Hispanics with the
Gospel.
